Find out about grants from the Council and how to apply

Council officers will be at Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot on Tuesday 6 June to meet with voluntary sector groups, town and parish councils and residents to provide advice and guidance on grants. This will be an opportunity for people to discuss a project they might want grant funding for, and to ask questions about eligibility or the application process for all the varied grant schemes.

It’ll begin at 2pm and anybody wanting to take part over the phone, by Microsoft Teams or in person at Cornerstone can email us at grants@southandvale.gov.uk or call 01235 422405 to book a slot.

New funding round now open

South Oxfordshire District Council is providing £50,000 in funding for community organisations and individuals to apply for, with a maximum grant of £1,000. Applicants will need to show that their projects will help communities to become more active or sustain activity.

More information about the grant scheme can be found on our website southoxon.gov.uk/grants or organisations can contact the council’s Community Enablement team on  01235 422405 or grants@southandvale.gov.uk .

The closing date for applications is midday Friday 30 June 2023.

Meet our Community Hub

Our Community Hub team will be in the café at Cornerstone on the same date from 2pm to meet residents. The Hub can offer support and direct people to help on a range of things including Cost of Living, food support, becoming a host for Homes for Ukraine scheme or offering support to guests on the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

Please come along and chat with council officers to find out more about what we do, get advice or let them know how we can support you better.

For anybody who can’t come and meet in person but needs help because they are struggling financially or just finding life difficult, we can help. Whether it’s practical support or just advice, I  encourage you to get in touch:

Our office hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4.30pm on Fridays (and closed on bank holidays)
